S'mores on the Beach


Pack up the family and a few friends and head to Alki Beach. Your fun-loving hosts will prepare a bonfire and have plenty of s’mores fixins. Great company, an incredible sunset, stickey s’mores and roaring bonfire – a family evening you don’t want to miss.

Stuffed Animal Making

Poker Night

You don't want to miss this fun filled evening of chance at the Yacht Club on beautiful Lake Union. Whether you are a novice or a serious player, you will have an entertaining evening of Texas Hold’ Em. Bring your wallet - half of all proceeds will go to Gatewood and the balance goes to the evening’s winner. Wine, beer and hors d'oeuvres provided.

Gatewood Futbol Clinic

Few people know that three of Gatewood’s finest moonlight as soccer fanatics. Even fewer people know that these aficionados actually know what they’re doing when it comes to coaching young talent. Whether your child is a budding Beckham or has just found the game, they’ll be supported and challenged in this clinic. Bring cleats, shin pads, shorts, water bottle and a soccer ball (if you have one) to the Gatewood soccer camp.

Cookie Baking Party

The amazing Team Explorer teachers, Mrs. Carney and Mrs. Higuchi, are offering a cookie baking extravaganza at Mrs. Carney’s house. After creating their dessert, they will head to Alki beach for a picnic lunch and exploring.

Art with Ms. Alonzo

Budding artists will love this “private” art lesson with Ms. Alonzo. Your child can pick a medium - fabric sculpture, acrylic or watercolor painting, textiles, and nature drawing - and have a wonderful couple of hours of personal expression. Snack included in this after school session!

Lincoln Park Day
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to go camping with your teachers? Well now you have your chance! Join Ms. Katherine and Ms. Noelle for some daytime camping at Lincoln Park. We’ll set up some tents, grill hot dogs, toast marshmallows for s’mores, and sing camp songs. Then we’ll head out on a scavenger hunt around the park. Come join us for an outdoor adventure.
